Pro Angler Tom Redington Comes in First at FLW Rayovac Series

UnknownFlanked by some of the best fisherman in the country, professional fisherman Tom Redington took down the competition over the weekend and snagged first place at the FLW Rayovac Series on KY Lake in Gilbertsville, KY.

The road to success was hardly easy, though. This year’s competition was stiff. And after just barely losing the top spot last year, Redington arrived at KY Lake ready to take on anything the day would throw at him.

“After leading the FLW Tour event on KY Lake last year on days two and three only to ultimately fall short of the win on day four, I was eager to get redemption,” said Redington.

The professional fisherman’s hard work and determination paid off, making success all the sweeter.

“Winning the event was very exciting and special for me, especially performing well under the final day pressure, being prepared to win like a good Scout, and beating such a stacked field after not closing the deal last year,” said Redington. “It also felt great to have the BSA boat in the spotlight, a good reminder that lessons learning in Scouting are a great foundation for boys and young men to have fun and excel outdoors and indoors, and the lessons learned lay the foundation for future success in whatever endeavors one pursues.”

Congratulations to Tom! Check out the suggested links to the left of this post to catch up on all the fun events Tom has completed in thus far.
